Featured Seller Of The Week

JOOM is my featured seller of the week!

The Interview.........

What do you make? I make all kind of stuff such as pillows, tote bags, pouches, stationary and prints.

Where do you get your inspiration? I am inspired by nature and my surrounding, and am especially interested in nature, music, art, and architecture. The idea of using bird and flower came to me one day while I was sitting in my patio taking care of my garden. A hummingbird came to feed on a fuchsia plant, and I closed my eyes and saw the silhouette of the bird and the flower. That image has been a main part of my designs even since.

What is your favorite piece from your own shop? I really like my birdie desk calendar.

If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be? I would like to get a Vintage Cherry Bench from sprucehome.

What made you start making your item? I grew up around my father's shoe factory. I think once my parents saw that I loved to draw they encouraged that in me. I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator or a designer. I like using different kind of materials for my work.

Do you have a favorite purchase or two? I love my boston terrier mini pillow that I bought from MODESTO. I have a boston terrier, named seven.

Cutting Hair For Cancer Patients

Recently, 28 students (including me) and 8 staff members of my school particapated in what is called "The Ponytail Drive." 72 ponytails worth of hair were donated to the Pantene Beautiful Length Campaign to make wigs for the American Cancer Society. Everyone got cut at least 8 inches off their hair, 9 inches came off my hair! Krista, a girl in my grade, got 15 inches cut off! Can you imagine? A guy in 8th grade even particaped. Unfortunately, my aunt Laura (http://www.creativelytangled.etsy.com/) and my Grandpa was just dignosed with cancer and both eventually going through chemo. Cutting my hair made me feel good inside to know I helped a cancer paitent just like my aunt Laura and my Grandpa. Somehow someway I hope they figure out a cure to cancer because everywhere I look someone has it, and it is depressing.

eemOCEAN Salt Soap Bar $5.00

here is the interview.....

What do you make?
Handcrafted Artisan Soaps, Lip Balms, Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars, Moisturizers, Hair & Body Fragrant Mists, Perfumes, Room Sprays and the list goes on.

Where do you get your inspiration?
The world around me.
What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
I don't have a favorite I love all my products because I know how hard it is to create from beginning to end. I will say I love to create Cold Process Soaps, you can really play with color and scents which feeds my creative playful side.

If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
Some more hours in the day would be lovely.

What made you start making your item?
My mom inspired me she used to take me around the garden when I was little showing me herbs and teaching me what they can be used for and their benefits. I guess one thing led to another and here I am today.

Do you enjoy making it?
I love what I do, it's a pleasure getting up in the morning and walking in my soap shop/work room. Everything I make I take pride in and make sure each product is perfect.
Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
I love every purchase I make because being an artist on etsy I know how much work someone has gone through to create something.
