WHO-HOOO! New FS!

Thats Cyd!!! ---> ---> ---> ^

Q:What do you make?
A:Well these days I am mostly making vintage style jewelry which I sell on 3 different online indie sites. I also make tile and glass mosaics, clay sculptures and do watercolor painting. I love creating, I'm addicted to it and I would probably go crazy if I couldn't make stuff. I am mostly a self taught artist, though my Mom did put me in a couple of special art classes when I was very young.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration?
A:Nature, always nature! I seem to always include flowers, plants, birds & bugs in my jewelry as well as in my other types of artwork. I am a complete animal and nature nut, it's very important to me to spend time being outside, for me it's the best way to re-energized myself and at the same time it also allows me to slow down. Lately most of my outdoor time is devoted to my garden, which I dearly love.

Q: What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
A:Not sure I have one, but I l do like my new "Brown Hydrangea necklace" pretty well

Q: If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
A: Way too many to name, but here is a very cool chair that I would love to have:http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27880826&ref=sr_list_3&&ga_search_query=vintage+chair&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=3&order=date_desc&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title

Cyd's Workstation ---->---->---->^

Q: How did you start your creations?
A: When I was a kid I use to make jewelry with my Mom a lot, then about a year and a half ago I started looking for another way to earn a living and I decided to start making jewelry again.

Q: Do you enjoy making it?
A: I love it, absolutely love it! The only thing about it that I don't really like so much is working on the shipping of orders.

Q: Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
A: Again there are so many that I love, but here are a couple. The T-shirt is from "Rainbowswirlz" and the other is an adorable handmade card by "Dingocards"http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=14605974http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=14532711

Feaured Seller of the Week!

~GREENPOST~

here's the interview.....

Q: What do you make?
A: I make eco paper craft; handmade paper products created from 100% recycled content like junk mail, receipts, tags and other "junk" papers.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration?
A: As a native Pacific N.W. girl, I get my inspiration from my love for trees and for the environment. I hope to help create a more sustainable, yet stylish, future for everyone.

Q: What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
A: My favorite piece in my shop is my new Letter J monogrammed card with matching envelope set. I love the colors and the idea has so much potential. I want to make every letter card and many different color combinations.

Q: If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
A: I would buy a painting from fricdementol, a wallet from chakrapennywhistle, jewelry from meetalls and quercussilver and a skirt from malam.

Q: How did you start your creations?
A: Last summer on PBS, Bill Clinton delivered a speech wherein he asked each of us to make one commitment to the earth. So, that day, I committed myself to recycling and re-using my own paper in my artwork. Months later, Green Post was born.

Q: Do you enjoy making it?
A: I love making paper! Even though I really just started making paper, I have found that it is a very natural fit for me. I love to get into a zen frame of mind and find my rhythm. I enjoy the simplicity and the versatility of paper. I am also inspired by the process of turning junk into a beautiful, new product that people can use.

Q: Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
A: My favorite recent purchase is my Aqua Wall Topo made by my favorite Etsyian, Crafterall. I also love to buy soaps from Alchemic Muse.

..........INTERVIEW..........

What do you make?
I create LOTS of things! I went to design school and got my hands on lots of different mediums. So I make jewelry, prints (silk screened), felt accessories, stationary and more.

Where do you get your inspiration?
I get a lot of my inspiration from my background in art history. Also from literature (think Romeo and Juliet and Pride and Prejudice). I also sometimes get inspired by a vintage finding or bead and create a piece around it. All my pieces have names and personalities. I imagine the girl who would wear it and what she would be like.

What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
That's tough. Probably my simple Jill Earrings. I love the look of the faceted czech glass and all the colors in comes in. They are so simple you can wear them everyday (I have them in every color myself) or really lovely for a dressy occasion.

If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
Anything from Twigs & Honey (www.myrakim.etsy.com). I could wear her flowers everyday (I have some). But I LOVE the vases at pretty random objects (www.prettyrandomobjects.etsy.com). They are so creative and cute.

What made you start making your item?
I just feel a need to create. I love making things with my hands.

Do you enjoy making it?
Absolutely! It's great to create things that other people will love and enjoy.

Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
Recently most of my purchases have been for our upcoming wedding. I bought a handmade silk bolero from Bonzie (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=268669490). It's so beautiful in person! Also a lovely clutch in the Yart sale from Yunisacs (http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=16862468). I love the animals in the damask. I will be using it to hold my bridal emergency kit on the wedding day (lipstick, stain stick, tissues, etc).

LostandFawned will be offering free shipping to anyone who puts "Sweetness Jewelry" into the message to seller upon purchase. Shipping cost will be refunded.

Featured Seller Of The Week

JOOM is my featured seller of the week!

The Interview.........

What do you make? I make all kind of stuff such as pillows, tote bags, pouches, stationary and prints.

Where do you get your inspiration? I am inspired by nature and my surrounding, and am especially interested in nature, music, art, and architecture. The idea of using bird and flower came to me one day while I was sitting in my patio taking care of my garden. A hummingbird came to feed on a fuchsia plant, and I closed my eyes and saw the silhouette of the bird and the flower. That image has been a main part of my designs even since.

What is your favorite piece from your own shop? I really like my birdie desk calendar.

If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be? I would like to get a Vintage Cherry Bench from sprucehome.

What made you start making your item? I grew up around my father's shoe factory. I think once my parents saw that I loved to draw they encouraged that in me. I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator or a designer. I like using different kind of materials for my work.

Do you have a favorite purchase or two? I love my boston terrier mini pillow that I bought from MODESTO. I have a boston terrier, named seven.

GIVEAWAY TIME! Joom has decided to give one of her mini pillows (any color from her shop) away for this giveaway )! To enter all you have to do is comment here and tell us what is your favorite piece from Joom's shop (http://www.joom.etsy.com/) is! For additonal entries, follow me on twitter or on blogger and let me know if you already do.
