Featured Seller of the Week!
Come on down, Cat from uncorked/polarity, you are the next contestent on the Price is Right! HAHA just kidding! Cat is the featured seller of the week on this blog!
Here is the interview......
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from my inability to throw anything away; my need to hold onto everything in case I need it to become something else. I don't want to build a better mousetrap- I want to build something ELSE with the mousetrap (of course, I wouldn't actually be messing around with a mousetrap, Kelly, because a girl - not to mention a mouse- could get hurt!)
What is your favorite piece from your shop?
My favorite piece from my shop is my See Jane Play recycled magnet board which has never been much appreciated and I think I have only sold one, but reminds me of the books I learned to read with (yes, I am THAT old Kelly). And Jane had a little curly haired sister named Sally and I had a little straight haired sister named Vicki, so we were almost like twins; Jane and I.
If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
If I could buy anything I wanted on Etsy and, actually I can, because I am very, very rich Kelly- I would buy the Pantheon dog bed for my little pup Olive or maybe not because she already is way too spoiled and needs Caesar, the dog whisperer, to teach her that she is a dog.http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21632536&ref=sr_gallery_5&&ga_search_query=bed&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=3&order=price_desc&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title
How did you start crafting?
I am not sure why I started making jewelry because I am not a big jewelry wearer. I have always loved eclectic, unusual jewelry though and have always been drawn to unusual textures and pieces with more natural elements.
Do you enjoy making jewelry?
I love making new things and when I set aside time to just be creative with no expectations on the outcome I am most happy. Sometimes, the repetition of making the same pieces again and again can start to get to me, but then I just think of that amazing Pantheon bed for Olive and I keep on going .....
