Feaured Seller of the Week!
~GREENPOST~
here's the interview.....
Q: What do you make?
A: I make eco paper craft; handmade paper products created from 100% recycled content like junk mail, receipts, tags and other "junk" papers.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration?
A: As a native Pacific N.W. girl, I get my inspiration from my love for trees and for the environment. I hope to help create a more sustainable, yet stylish, future for everyone.
Q: What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
A: My favorite piece in my shop is my new Letter J monogrammed card with matching envelope set. I love the colors and the idea has so much potential. I want to make every letter card and many different color combinations.
Q: If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
A: I would buy a painting from fricdementol, a wallet from chakrapennywhistle, jewelry from meetalls and quercussilver and a skirt from malam.
Q: How did you start your creations?
A: Last summer on PBS, Bill Clinton delivered a speech wherein he asked each of us to make one commitment to the earth. So, that day, I committed myself to recycling and re-using my own paper in my artwork. Months later, Green Post was born.
Q: Do you enjoy making it?
A: I love making paper! Even though I really just started making paper, I have found that it is a very natural fit for me. I love to get into a zen frame of mind and find my rhythm. I enjoy the simplicity and the versatility of paper. I am also inspired by the process of turning junk into a beautiful, new product that people can use.
Q: Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
A: My favorite recent purchase is my Aqua Wall Topo made by my favorite Etsyian, Crafterall. I also love to buy soaps from Alchemic Muse.

..........INTERVIEW..........
What do you make?
I create LOTS of things! I went to design school and got my hands on lots of different mediums. So I make jewelry, prints (silk screened), felt accessories, stationary and more.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get a lot of my inspiration from my background in art history. Also from literature (think Romeo and Juliet and Pride and Prejudice). I also sometimes get inspired by a vintage finding or bead and create a piece around it. All my pieces have names and personalities. I imagine the girl who would wear it and what she would be like.
What is your favorite piece from your own shop?
That's tough. Probably my simple Jill Earrings. I love the look of the faceted czech glass and all the colors in comes in. They are so simple you can wear them everyday (I have them in every color myself) or really lovely for a dressy occasion.
If you could buy anything on Etsy, what would it be?
Anything from Twigs & Honey (www.myrakim.etsy.com). I could wear her flowers everyday (I have some). But I LOVE the vases at pretty random objects (www.prettyrandomobjects.etsy.com). They are so creative and cute.
What made you start making your item?
I just feel a need to create. I love making things with my hands.
Do you enjoy making it?
Absolutely! It's great to create things that other people will love and enjoy.
Do you have a favorite purchase or two?
Recently most of my purchases have been for our upcoming wedding. I bought a handmade silk bolero from Bonzie (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=268669490). It's so beautiful in person! Also a lovely clutch in the Yart sale from Yunisacs (http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=16862468). I love the animals in the damask. I will be using it to hold my bridal emergency kit on the wedding day (lipstick, stain stick, tissues, etc).
LostandFawned will be offering free shipping to anyone who puts "Sweetness Jewelry" into the message to seller upon purchase. Shipping cost will be refunded.
